"First Published in 1965 by Macdonald & Co.,Inc.(Publishers)" appears on the copyright page with no additional dates. The book is bound in blue cloth with the title and author in silver on the spine. Corners are sharp and the biding square and firm. Endpapers depict "Courses for America's Races 1870-1964". Age-toning around the edges of the endpapers. Signed "with best wished, Richard Burnell July,1965". Otherwise, pages are clean, smooth and unmarked. A personal note signed by the author is loosely laid in. Illustrated with photographs in black and white. The dust jacket is in good condition with a 1" closed tear, .25" closed tear on the top edge of the back panel, light soiling on the top edges of the flaps, and chipping wear at the spine panel ends and corners. The original price"45 s.net" is on the front flap. The author was an English sculler and a winner of a Gold Medal in the 1948 Olympics. Please see all images.
