This copy in overall very good condition. Clean, crisp, unmarked text. No underlining or marginal notes. Firm binding--no loose pages. Dust jacket has a little rippling on spine and a tear/chip on upper free corner of front panel. Also, the edges and corners of the jacket have a few very minor (small) tears. Bulk of jacket OK. Former owner has stamped his name on the edges of the textblock. Aside from these flaws the book looks hardly used--not worn at all. Book describes the career of the deaf/blind student who became the director of the Hadley School for the Blind. Author Crist has inscribed on the dedication page the following: "for Jim--keep your own rainbow bright! Lyle M. Crist." Sturdy copy of this title.

So I'm no stranger to scholarly books. Although semi-retired now, I still collect books and currently list for sale items no longer wanted in my personal library.
