First Edition (first printing). This copy fondly inscribed by the author on the front free endpaper and dated the year of publication. 8vo. 220pp. Red boards lettered and ruled in gold at the spine. Top edge lightly spotted and with a strip of toning to the free endpapers. A very good copy in very good Ronald Searle-designed dust wrapper, non-price-clipped but very lightly spotted at the rear panel, and with little toning to the spine panel, several miniscule slivers of loss from the top edge and a single tiny tear. The author's third novel, detailing the exploits of two grass widows living in the Kings Road, Chelsea just after the end of the Second World War. Seller Inventory # BC16531
