Hardcover. Small 4to. Blue cloth with gilt spine lettering, pictorial dust jacket. xv, 336pp. Near fine/near fine. Front endpaper age toned from long-ago newsprint contact. Tight and nice first edition of this "political autobiography" by the famed "godfather of neoconservatism" (1920-2009), a distinguished intellectual, editor and journalist. He boldly inscribes and signs the front flyleaf in blue ballpoint: "for Bob Malott, / an outstanding business / and civic leader, and a / friend / with warmest regards, / Irving Kristol." Rarely found signed. Robert Malott (1926-2018) was a noted Chicago business leader, CEO of FMC Corporation, Republican politico and philanthropist. Seller Inventory # 49127
