Army green cloth bound in a Trussell wire-o bound binder printed by the Artcraft Press, inscribed by author on the ffep, "For Dr. Howard Townsend by J. Wilson Poucher. Gilt lettering on the front is rubbed. Blind-stamped lettering on the spine. Age-toned along the edges of the paste-downs. No markings. 160 pages. Dr. Goucher was one of the founders of Dutchess County Historical Society and a Surgeon at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. He authored "Old Gravestones of Dutchess County", "Reminiscences Personal and Professional" and "Stories of the Wild Flowers". He was born in 1859 in Claverack, Columbia County, New York.
