Brown wraps with title on the front cover. A thin hand made paper title label on the spine. A few pages inside are creased. Book is limited to 500 copies. This copy is numbered 434 and inscribed by the editor - "For Isabel from Martha, June 1936." The editor, Martha Waring, collected her grandfather Hardee's recollections from his notebooks he started while in his nineties. Hardee, born in 1830 in Rural Felicity, provides his own recollections of Savannah Georgia from the 1830's to 1890's. A large section is devoted to the Civil War and Sherman's occupation of the town in 1864. This personal narrative is not listed in Howes or Nevins. Seller Inventory # 24560
