Hardback, bound in green cloth with gilt titling to upper board. 27 × 19cm, 83pp. A note re the publisher: publisher not stated, details taken from the University of Oxford's library entry. The memoirs of William Russell Young who spent fifty-five years in South America (Chile and Peru) working for, among others, the bank Huth & Co in the late nineteenth, early twentieth century. The memoirs seem to have been written down as they occurred to him but are vaguely chronological, and talk about the society, sports, events, weather etc. Condition: Fair condition. There is a heavy water stain to the front and rear board running from the top. The inner binding is a little pulled in places and the pages tanned, however, it remains in strong readable condition.
