Item description from seller
Pamphlet, 8vo, removed, 11 pp. Some aging and browning, pages slightly brittle, some chipping and small tears at extremities, otherwise about very good. The pamphlet provides a review of information relating "to the conflicting claims of the corporation of the city of Natchez." It seems that the people of Natchez wanted to keep a couple of lots open for the protecting the grounds of Jefferson College, but others had claimed that land. In the end, it appears that Natchez and the college won their case, as the Territorial governor, Robert Williams, signed an order in their favor.
