SIGNED presentation copy from the author. The Second of the authors' mystery novels. The (partial) dustjacket is poor. Torn, chipped and creased, with loss. Loss to head/tail of spine, to the bottom inner rear and is 'sunned' (browned) to the d/j spine and very scraped to the edges. Some former owner repaired this internally with (now browned) sellotape. The dustjacket is now in a new protective clear - removable - bookfilm plastic cover and looks a little better. Good, sound, green cloth boards, with white titling - some of this rubbed and browned. A couple of corners and head/tail of spine bumped, and browning/light fading, particularly to the head/tail where the dustjacket was torn and not there to protect it from the light. Page fore-edges lightly browning as usual with age. Internally, all hinges sound and generally very good. SIGNED with a presentation note BY The AUTHOR in ink on the Title page. (I have to say the signature doesn't look much like 'Charles Evelyn' so either bad writing or I can only assume that maybe 'Charles Evelyn' is a pseudonym - but I have been unable at this point to find out? ) .
