In black cloth-covered boards with gilt titles on spine (boards are strong, square and clean; just lightly rounded at spine ends). Internally neat, clean and bright. Firmly bound. In its original dust jacket, not price clipped (jacket very slightly bumped at edges, lightly sunned on spine). From the library of Spurs supporter Lord Willis with a signed inscription, in ink to the ffep, to Lord & Lady Willis which reads 'To Ted & Audrey Love & Best wishes Terry Neill. - Thanks for just being yourselves. T.'. Edward 'Ted' Willis (1914-1992) was a political activist and British playwright, novelist and screenwriter, perhaps best known for writing the television series Dixon of Dock Green. Willis was awarded a peerage in 1963, becoming Lord Willis, Baron of Chislehurst. a no-punches pulled autobiography covering Neill's colourful career as both a professional football player and manager.
