L'Aloge describes himself as a "real Westerner," born and raised in southwestern Missouri--the home of Belle Star, Jesse James, and other Old West figures. He pens his articles, stories, and books with a flair and passion for historical detail and accuracy.

Of French-Irish descent, L'Aloge is proud of his heritage and the fact his ancestors fought for the 'Stars and Bars' as well as 'Old Glory.' He proudly volunteered and served in the United States Marine Corps during the Viet Nam War.
