About this Item
Octavo, 238pp. A fine, crisp copy, with the thinnest hariline crack at the front inner hinge, else very nice, and appearing unread. In a near fine dust jacket, with some tiny nicks to the edges, and the portrait on the rear panel showing some rubbing. SIGNED and INSCRIBED by Douglas on the front free endpaper: 'For [Gen Barnett? Len Barrett?] with all good wishes Wm. O. Douglas." Douglas, perhaps the most liberal Supreme Court justice in history, was a driving force in many of the landmark cases decided by the Warren Court.
