First edition (first printing stating "first published." on the copyright page with no indication of later printings). A near fine copy in wrappers (paperback). This copy is inscribed to one of the people credited on the acknowledgements page, "To Denis, with sincere gratitude for helping to keep the spirit and humor of Rowland alive.
