SIGNED by Tennessee Williams on the colophon, one of 500 copies of a special limited edition. Tennessee Williams's first novel, about a widowed actress who gets involved with an Italian gigolo. The book was the basis for a 1961 movie starring Vivien Leigh, Warren Beatty, and Lotte Lenya. PHYSICAL DETAILS: Octavo (8.25 x 5.5 inches; 210 x 140 mm), 148, [2] pages, in quarter vellum over decorated paper boards (hard cover). Lacking the slipcase. CONDITION: Darkening and bumping to spine, light toning to pages, creasing to some page edges. Very Good or better.
