First edition/printing. A FINE book ( appears unread) in FINE jacket. Gold and silver lettering of jacket is bright and suffers none of the usual rubbing! A very crisp copy, INSCRIBED and SIGNED by the author " For Don Parke All best, Richard". on the front free end paper. Author is Major-Gen. Richard Rohmer ( ret.) with whom I have had the pleasure of breaking bread at A Crime Writer's of Canada awards dinner. Apparently my family lived down the street from the Rohmers in Don Mills ( when I was 3 or4 !). I was accompanied by my father , also a vet, and they had fun talking over old times. And yes.I've had a few books signed by the general both in full and with just" Richard." His personal inscriptions are usually just "Richard".
