'Winner of the Eerdmans Fiction Award 1948' statement opposite title page. Copyright page shows 1948, but the title page gives 1953. So I am not sure of the printing. Nice tight copy in a price clipped jacket with some nicking at spine ends. Inscribed on the title page.
