See photos for condition details. Hardcover, inscribed and signed by the author on the front end page. Red cloth boards show light handling wear, although there is edge and corner bumps/chips. The internal binding is overall good, although hinges are a bit noisy. Part of the reason for the low condition grade is that at pages 76-79 there is a indentation of a paperclip with some faint rust marks. Pages 77 also has a small chip and tear at the very top. There is also a second paperclip indentation, although fainter, which includes pages 28-37. Apparently the authors inscription on the front were friends as pages 29 and 37 have "Read at Rosy's funeral" written on the page in ink. There is also a note written on the front pastedown that said Bert Rowswell died Feb 6, 1955 Sunday. It is unknown if this was the actual book that was used to read at his funeral, but the paperclips marking the pages certainly lean towards that theory.
