Published by The Mitre Press in 1965, this is the first hardback printing of Marjorie Doris Peachey's Poetry Collection: The Running Tide. Blue cloth binding, gilt lettering, the book is in poor condition having been left perhaps in a damp garage or shed since the cloth binding is extensively stained. The dust jacket is similarly stained, rubbed all over and nibbled along the bottom front edge. The book does contain a little gem though, in the form of a detailed inscription from the author, written in ink to the front free end paper which reads: "To my friend Joy Lyle with best wishes and in remembrance of former days Marjorie Doris Peachey".
