Slight writing in pencil to top right corner of rear free edge. Inscribed by Barthes to Michel-Claude Jalard on half-title page. Shelved in Rm. G. This book is part of the 'Tel Quel' series. 'Tel Quel' was an influential and controversial literary magazine published by Éditions de Seuil in the mid-20th century. Barthes was an eminent French philosopher and literary critic, among other things.
