Ricky Dickson, former CEO and President of Blue Bell Creameries, graduated from Baylor University with a B.B.A. in Marketing and Journalism. He began his career with Blue Bell in 1981 as a Territory Manager in Dallas. Over the next 38 years he worked his way through various stores and roles, all the way to CEO & President.
1982: Sales Manager in Ft. Worth, TX. 1984: Branch Manager in San Antonio, TX. Then transferred to Oklahoma City, Tulsa when each of those branches opened. 1992: Assistant Dallas/Ft. Worth Division Manager. 1993: Transferred to Kansas City as Branch Manager, then returned to Tulsa later that year. 1994: Named Midwest Division Manager. 1998: General Manager of the Broken Arrow plant, but stayed involved in Sales, particularly with the Walmart account. 2003: General Sales Manager in Brenham. 2010: Vice President of Sales and Marketing, and also appointed to serve as a Director on the Blue Bell Board of Directors. 2017: Promoted to President. 2019: Elected CEO & President of Blue Bell Creameries. 2004: Received the International Dairy Foods Association Laureate Award for his significant and prolonged contributions to the development and growth of dairy, and was also inducted into the Dairy Products Institute of Texas Hall of Fame.
