Add to basketBook measures: 24 x 22 cm. [22] pages: [2] original gouache works and [4] photo reproductions. Typewritten text in Russian. Signed by S. Nemchina on the first two pages. Russian Artist's Book/Catalog. Each catalog cover is a unique creation by S. Nemchina, crafted individually for every copy. Inside, the catalog features another abstract work by the artist and four photo illustrations reproduced from photographic negatives courtesy of N. Baratov, who graciously supplied them for this purpose. The current exhibition showcased 111 works, with several pieces on loan from private collections. From the introductory text, "During an exhibition of S. Nemchina's work in the previous year, visitors witnessed the inaugural display, drawing inspiration from ancient Korean poets' poetry. Some of these pieces are being showcased again this year. Predominantly, the assortment of drawings, watercolors, and collages exhibited in January and February of 1969 are making their public debut. A few pieces from the early 1960s offer a glimpse into the earlier experimental phases of S. Nemchina's artistic journey but have just been displayed. Among these previously unseen works is "Melody" from 1962, a piece whose very title underscores the profound influence of music on the artist's creative process.".
