Hardcover bound in blue cloth with gilt lettering and decorations to spine and front; top edge of text block painted blue; gray and white illustrations; limited edition 704/900; signed by Rockwell Kent. Book in very good plus condition: spine a little toned; slight mottling to top edge of text block; a couple of small tone spots to front endpapers. Slipcase in very good minus condition with mild toning and spotting; slight scuffing; title label toned and spotted; slight wear. "Random House edition of N by E, printed on special watermarked paper by the Pynson Printers under the supervision of Elmer Adler, completed in the month of November MCMXXX. Of this, the first and limited edition, ther have been printed nine hundred numbered copies, each signed by the author, this being number 704." Size: 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall.
