This is a first edition first printing Alcoholics Anonymous big book from 1939 with a reproduction dust jacket. This book has been signed by Nell Wing. The inscription by Nell Wing reads: ?Hi Don! Happy, also, to send you best wishes - stay well, and it?s grand to sign this book! Nell Wing? Nell Wing was the Administrative assistant and secretary to Bill Wilson, in New York City from 1947 until 1982. Nell was also the 1st archivist for A.A. GSO from after Bill's death until she retired. After that, she traveled the world, often speaking at A.A. functions. She worked with Lois at Stepping Stones until Lois passed in 1988, an association that lasted 42 years.She is also the author of the book Grateful to Have Been There. This book is invery good condition. The red cloth cover is bright with little signs of wear. We suspect with the condition of the red cloth that this does not contain an original cover. This book is a bit of an anomaly asthe blank page at the front of the book is still present which is not typically the case with a book that has been re-covered. At the back of the book there are three blank pages where there should be four which would indicate this book has been re-covered. The person that worked on this book did an amazing job! The boards and spine are firm. Gilt letting on cover has slightly faded. Moderate, normal toning to pages. Other than the inscription, there is no writing or markings inside the book.
