Add to basketOctavo, 86 pages. In Very Good minus condition, housed in a Very Good slip case with matching chemise. Slipcase bound in quarter green leather with blue cloth boards, chemise blue cloth. Slipcase with very light shelf wear. Boards show light shelf wear overall with rubbing along edges, bumping to corners, abrasions to hinges (with minor loss of material), and 1 1/8 in. stain/scratch to back cover. Text block shows light age toning to interior and edges. Inscribed by Holmes to Irving S. Olds on front free end paper. Inscription in ink (on fragment of index card) from a previous owner taped to front paste down. Pages uncut. LB Consignment. Shelved case 1. Irving Sands Olds was an American lawyer and philanthropist. He received a law degree from Harvard in 1910, and upon graduation took a position as a law clerk for Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court, Oliver Wendell Holmes Jr. In 1911, he joined the law firm White & Case.
