140 pp, 7 5/8" H, red cloth with black lettering/banding on spine. Inscribed on front free endpaper: "To / Maggie ? / With Cordial Good Wishes / From / Archer Wallace / Christmas 1930." A small area of 'white-out' at the top corner of the front free endpaper, slight tanning to the pages, light browning to the endpapers, a very small crease/bump at the bottom corner of the front free endpaer and the title page, a small scuff on the fore-edge of the text block and one on the front board, light wrinkling at the top/bottom of the spine along with some slight colour fading at the top edge. Dust jacket has edge wear and chips, holes/ pieces missing in the folds, a piece missing from the spine, a small sticker mark on the front panel, small ink notation on the front flap, two old tape repairs on the inside of the flap-folds, some staining on the inside surface, now protected in removable mylar sleeve.
