Inscribed by Maya Lin on the title page. Completed in 2008, Wave Field at the Storm King Art Center in New York spans 4 acres of land, and is a larger version of her original Wave Field (1995) that focuses on the "fusion of opposites", comparing the motion of water to the material of the earth. Lin (b.1959), an American architect and sculptor, is best known for designing the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. and the Civil Rights Memorial in Montgomery, Alabama. Quarto: 63 p. with numerous photographic illustrations, most color and some folding. Original pictorial boards; issued without a dust jacket. Near fine. Seller Inventory # 77270
