Stated first edition. 430+(34) pages, photo illustrated. This copy was presented to its owner (perhaps on retirement?) and is accompanied by a "Compliments of The Sunpapers of Baltimore" card. It has two pages of signatures, first of the Sunpapers Executive Editor Neil H. Swanson, followed in a kind of pecking order by each of the four authors (including H. L. Mencken), then by the News Editor, the City Editor and finally another 21 members of the staff (who can be referenced in the handy index of employees). The owner wrote on a front free end page that he was presented the book on April 30, 1937 and attached his bookplate. Near fine condition in a fair dust jacket which has large chips at head and heel of the spine and wear to the folds. The jacket is in clear mylar protector.
