Green cloth, lettered in gilt, bordered in blind, beveled edges. Minor rubbing to corners and spine extremities, slight binding lean (though firm), minor surface rubbing. Tanned text block edges. 1st edition, matching dates. vi,7-336,8 pp. A former owner has carefully clipped several contemporary reviews of the novel and mounted them on lined paper; these are laid in at rear. An association copy signed by Lucy Derby on front blank and by E. L. Derby on upper main title, both signatures within the family of the author, whose actual name was Caroline Rosina Derby. Historical novel recounting the Salem witch trials. Exceptionally scarce. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
