This copy lacks the first edition statement on the copyright page, indicating a later printing, with gutter code of Q41 present on page 439, in a second (corrected) state jacket, with Father Callahan on inner flap and price of $7.95. A pleasing copy of King's second major novel, his follow up to Carrie, and reportedly the author's favorite out of all his novels, nominated for the World Fantasy Award in 1976 and the Locus Award for the All Time Best Fantasy Novel in 1987. The book is better than VG, with upper corners lightly bumped, with a few small patches of discoloration to spine; spine heel gently crimped, with a small patch of discoloration to upper rear board; very faint soiling to page ends, but free of bookplates or stamps and clean and bright internally. The jacket is also about VG, with a vertical crease to spine, which appears as a dark vertical streak (see photo); spine tips and upper front corner gently creased and chafed, with some rubbing to jacket flap folds and some light soiling to rear panel; a small chip to lower front jacket flap and another to upper front spine joint, but a sound clean copy overall, with price of $7.95 intact. This book has been SIGNED and dated on the front endpaper in the year following publication. Flat signed copies of this title are uncommon. Seller Inventory # ABE-1742237430397
