Zorach famously participated and exhibited in the groundbreaking now legendary Armory Show show of 1913 which was the first large-scale exhibition of modern art in America; introducing European avant-garde to America through Fauvism, Cubism, and Futurism; Zorach included. Sculptress Renata Manasse Schwebel has signed this book in pencil on FFEP; in addition to William Zorach signing this edition as well. Book is about fine; burlap cloth is clean. Binding and hinges are strong; pages are clean and tight. Original DJ with $3.00 price intact on flap. DJ shows shallow chipping along edges and thin chip along DJ fold near lower spine. Closed edge tear. Also included is Zorach Explains Sculpture. Tudor Publishing; 1960. Book is tight, clean and nice. DJ shows light minimal wear along edges. VG+.
