In "Hand Me Downs," meet controversial and unapologetic Kendrick Walker. A twenty something gay male infected with the AIDS virus. A successful nightclub owner and art dealer, he finds his life spinning out of control after discovering the violent suicide of his roommate. On the advice of a friend, Kendrick sends scathing letters to his estranged brothers in an attempt to purge himself of the "demons" that have simultaneously haunted him about his lifestyle choices while repelling the remnant of his family.
"Gingerbread Men" introduces Garrett Hunter. A software consultant who has it all; chiseled body, good looks, sleek sports car, tons of money and a bevy of beautiful women vying for his attention. Garret settles for nothing but the best but with that comes a hefty price. Garrett unwittingly finds himself embroiled in the middle of a unsavory internet scandal that forces him to fight for the love of his life. After a pending murder investigation, complete with a bird-dogging detective, Garrett begins searching for the favor and protection of his God.

About the Author
Taylor credits the warmth and familiarity of her fictional characters to two important aspects in her life: family and the Lord. Raised in a close-knit family, Valorie always enjoyed writing; often as a fantastic escape into sophisticated worlds much more glamorous than and quite different from her own. As an adult, she found the Lords commitment to the betterment of His people an irresistibly intriguing prospect for literary inclusion.
