hardback, octavo, quarter calf, marbled boards, raised bands to spine with gilt rules, gilt title on red morocco, Rubbed to the extremities, just starting at the head of the joints, crack to the hinges but the stitching tight. The contents are unmarked, although there is marginal soiling to the final leaf and small marginal bottom corner tip loss to the final leaf and to the title page. the first three leaves of the Dedication have a small loss at the top leading corner tip. Occasional soiling and with faint water stain to some bottom margins. Folding plate at the rear with marginal soiling and wear to the bottom edge. Signed by the author at the imprimatur leaf. xxx + 457 [1] pp.
