From the University of Cincinnati Robert S. Marx Law Library, with library label on covers and stamps to title page and endpapers. Inscribed on the front free endpaper to "Ben. L. Heidingsfeld - with compliments and regards. C. Bascom Slemp." Campbell Bascom Slemp (1870-1943) was the presidential secretary to Calvin Coolidge, and served as a U.S. congressman from Virginia from 1907-1923. The recipient, Ben L. Heidingsfeld (1868-1944) was an attorney in Cincinnati, Ohio, notably representing theaters and motion-picture companies in court. Seller Inventory # 13847
