1st Edition 1960. Signed books by Prince Philip are rare. Presentation copy by Prince Philip Duke of Edinburgh, Consort of Queen Elizabeth II to Michal Mann Dean of Windsor. Ballpoint pen to title page ' 'Michael Mann from Philip'?. The book is in very good++ and bright. Contents good. The wrapper is very good++ with light rubbing and nicks to edges. Provenance: Michael Ashley Mann (1924-2011), Anglican bishop and Dean of Windsor, 1976-1989. Prince Philip and Robin Woods, the then Dean of Windsor, founded St George's House in 1966. It was a centre for theological and business ethics study attached to St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle. Prince Philip remained on its Council until his death. The first book is the correspondence between Prince Philip and the Right Reverend Michael Mann regarding Professor Sir Fred Hoyle's 1982 lecture 'Evolution from Space'. Hoyle discussed the possibility of life on earth having arrived from beyond this planet, directed by a greater intelligence. Prince Philip advocated a compatibility between the scientific theory of evolution and the Christian story of Creation. More images can be taken upon request. Ref 18073.

Orders usually shipped within 2 business days. Shipping costs are based on books weighing 2.2 LB, or 1 KG. If your book order is heavy or oversized, we may contact you to let you know if extra shipping is required.
All overseas orders with priority shipping (8 days+) will be sent by either tracked airsure or international signed for. The slower postal rates (14 days +) will be sent by standard airmail and will take longer to arrive.
