First edition, signed by Dylan Thomas on the front free endpaper. Likely second issue with publisher's address of "333 Sixth Avenue" on copyright page instead of "500 Fifth Avenue," as New Directions moved to 333 Sixth Avenue after 1946 and by 1953. Bound in publisher's rose cloth with gilt spine letters blocked in black. Dust jacket with earlier Fifth Avenue address and with "Lowry" on the bottom corner of the front panel. It is assumed, though not certain that this would be the first issue of the dust jacket, and that the first issue cloth is green. Very Good with fading to spine, trivial foxing to endsheets. In a Very Good unclipped dust jacket with spine fading, soiling, toning, edge wear and a short split started at the bottom of the front flap fold. Rolph B11. Seller Inventory # 140941848
