Tipped-in col. frontis and 31 numbered tipped-in col. plates, all with tissue guards, tipped-in col. photo. portrait of Rickman. Each col. plate has a facing page with b.w. pencil sketches of the same bird, and there are additional reproductions of b.w sketches, three full page, and others as vignettes. This copy is unique having, in addition, an original pencil sketch of teal signed by Rickman, which is tipped-in on the reverse of the limitation page. Pages unnumbered. Bound in original publisher's 3/4 green polished morocco with green cloth boards ruled in gilt with gilt image of smew on the front and woodcock on back, spine with gilt decorated raised bands,gilt lettering and gilt emblems of partridges and pheasants, all edges gilt.
