Item description from seller

Introduction by Sigfrid Hauck. 67pp, bound in flexible boards, with the binding and hinges tight, signed by the author on the front cover. Complete with 8 Portrait Sketches, as called for. Written by a puffed up author with a chip on his shoulder. It turns out that the author, although a successful American poet and journalist, was also a strong pro-German propagandist, and eventually became an agent operating on behalf of Nazi Germany. He was eventually convicted, spending close to four years in the Lewisburg Federal Penitentiary.
