Book is tight; binding and hinges are strong. Illustrated gray cloth panels are bright and clean with green titles.Original DJ with $10.00 price intact on flap. Small, neatly written gift inscription at the top of the half-title page, dated December 25th, 1971. DJ is bright and attractive with slight edge-rubbing along edges and crown. Small, closed edge tear on DJ rear, barely visible. Considered to be Jane Goodall's magnum opus, this title has been translated into forty-eight languages.
