Brief inscription to friend and signed by the author on the blank front page. A very rare book. Book: top of the spine is chipped down to the text-block, there are very faint areas of age fading/discoloration to the boards, book has no other flaws. Dustjacket: spine and edges darkened from age, top of the jacket spine chipped away, edgewear along the top edge of the jacket, and, briefly, at the bottom edge, jacket has no other flaws. The book is quite clean, square and straight, firm and tight in its binding, no pages are loose, torn, folded, creased, or missing. The hinges are sound and undamaged, the corners are sharp and unbumped. All pages are clean and stain free, perhaps a tad age-toned, and all text is sharp and legible. There is no writing, underlining, highlighting, or other such markings in the book (aside from the author's inscription). NOT a library book. The dustjacket is clean and stain-free, and aside from the chipping and shallow edgewear, it presents quite nicely despite the age-toning.
