Synopsis
There is another world. It is the birthplace of all our nightmares. Vampires, werewolves, demons, deadly creatures that have no name or form ... they are all real. Galen Sword was born within that world. Destined to be an adept warrior, heir to the Victor of the Greater Clan Pendragon. Yet as a child, his birthright and his memories were stolen from him, and he was exiled to a world without substance, without magic, without hope: Our world. But twenty years later, a mysterious chain of events restores Galen's memory of who he is, and hints at what he might become. Now Galen will stop at nothing to find the truth-and his home. But with no powers of his own, his only tools are those of science. After three years of failure, Galen Sword discovers an enclave of shapeshifters in New York City. But when he tries to infiltrate their Ceremony of the Change, the beings who exiled him from his own world exact a hideous price.
About the Author
Judith & Garfield Reeves-Stevens are the authors of more than thirty books, including numerous "New York Times" bestselling Star Trek novels. Their newest novel of suspense, "Freefall, " is a follow-up to their "Los Angeles Times" bestseller, "Icefire, " and is set against the political intrigue and historical conspiracy surrounding the next race to the Moon.
In keeping with their interest in both the reality of space exploration and the science fiction that helps inspire it, in 2003 Judith and Garfield were invited to join a NASA Space Policy Workshop for the development of NASA's new goals as put forth in the agency's 2004 Vision for Space Exploration. Then, for the 2004 television season, the couple joined the writing staff of "Star Trek: Enterprise "as executive story editors. For more information, please visit www.reeves-stevens.com.
