Foxing to page edges and preliminaries, else internally in very good condition; cover has some shelfwear and tanning with corner bumps, bottom edge looks as if it may have been damp at some time. Dustwrapper is tanned and worn with several areas of loss. Inscribed by author on front endpaper, 'Hommagus respectubux - E.L.W. 11.ii.43.'.
