But the days that follow prove the doctor dreadfully wrong. A young woman is found murdered not Melanie, but the last person to have seen and spoken to her. A second woman's body is discovered, again not Melanie's, but like her, young and black. A third woman turns up beaten and unconscious; like the others, she is of Nigerian origin. As Inspector Wexford's investigation stretches from days into weeks, it becomes his unhappy obligation to counter the hopes of the doctor and his wife. We have an excellent selection of illustrated children's books and a variety of posters, original art, maps, prints, and other ephemera, including football and theatre programmes. We always welcome enquiries from anyone interested in good books. We have had significant good publicity in recent years and we were judged one of Britain's top 50 bookshops by The Independent newspaper in 2008 "An absolutely fabulous bookshop". Our shop was chosen by Kudos Productions in 2008 for location filming of two episodes of the BBC's award-winning spy series "Spooks" and features in one of ITV's 2010 episodes of "House Guest". …
