First Series, Volume 2 of Morning Star Folio series published in June 1990. Brown and black designed poem printed on grey Ingres water mark paper in a limited edition of 200 copies. This is copy #57 and is SIGNED by the illustrator, Inger Lawrence. Outer blue paper covers with black lettering and Greek translation in gilt on the front cover were printed letterpress by Peter Knee, Merrow, Guildford, Surrey. Details of this item and The Folios in general are printed on the rear cover and is signed by Thomas Meyer (one of 25 such copies). The Morning Star Folios, edited by Alec Finlay, appeared quarterly and were enclosed within a white printed envelope. Enclosed with the poem is an essay by Thomas Meyer about the Greek sportsman and scholar, Pythagoras. This is SIGNED by Meyer. Also enclosed is a printed letter from Thomas Meyer to Alec Finlay with comments about the layout of the poem. Tiny crease on lower corner of envelope. Contents are in fine condition.
