Illustrated by Mac Harshberger, with his striking Art Deco style relief prints, some with yellow color added. -- SIGNED by the artist, as "Mickey" to his sister (and artistic collaborator), in French: Pour ma chere petite soem - Kay The "haut" [?] / De son cher petit frere - Mickey The "microtome". -- There are pencilled comments indicating misorientation or size, etc. of the images; someone (a different hand) wrote in pencil comments are "by artist, Kay Harshberger." -- Hardcover, black cloth spine and corners over gold-design boards, printed spine label. Condition: very good minus (spine label tanned with tiny chip; cover edges lightly rubbed; short narrow stain to top page margins). Pages are bright and binding is tight. -- Mac Harshberger studied in at the University of Washington and in France; he illustated books of poetry and music during the 1920s; he was one artist featured in the book by David Martin "The Lavender Palette: Gay Culture and the Art of Washington State."
