A good copy of the presumed first hard cover edition (no explicit edition or printing statement(, lacking a dust-jacket, inscribed and signed by Lew Sarett on the front free endpaper, Inscribed to Margaret McClusky Meland, who was the wife of the theologian Bernard Eugene Meland (1899-1993). The inscriotion begings: "O molten dewdrop." and continues for six lines of verse. Some pencilled notes atop rear endpaper, with index card with pencilled quotation from a Joyce Kilmer poem paperclipped to rear free endpaper. Front endpaper is split in the gutter, with resultant wobble to front board.
