This copy has been dated March 15, 1994 and inscribed "To ., Who is no small potato - Ralph". With a small fish drawing, together with a copy of the front page of "The Spectator" from Hamilton College, Clinton, NY showing a featured focus on the author. On the reverse of this paper is a personal note from the author. "Small Potatoes" is not a book about 'spuds', its about dalliance in retirement. It's how one chooses to use one's time on cold winter upstate New York days, on fresh Spring days, hot summer days, or frosty Autumn days.
