Royal Samuel Copeland (1868-1938). Born in Dexter, Washtenaw County, Michigan. Democrat. Mayor of Ann Arbor, MI from 1901-03. U.S. Senator from New York during 1923-38 (died in office). Delegate to Democratic National Convention from NY in 1924 and 1936. Candidate for mayor of New York, NY in 1937. Methodist. Member of the Sons of the American Revolution, Freemasons, Shriners and Friendly Sons of St. Patrick. 3.5 inch wide and 2.5 inch tall card, boldly inscribed "yours for health Royal S. Copland 1934."
