It's three decades since Leslie Titmuss, now Lord Titmuss, first entered parliament and a difficult by-election is looming in Hartscombe and Worsfield South after the conservative MP's body is found floating in his swimming pool, handcuffed and clad in a bikini. New Labour's Terry Flitton is confident of victory. Armed with a mobile phone and a beautiful young wife who abhors smoking, hunting and meat-eating in equal measure. But even he is surprised to receive a call from Lord Titmuss suggesting a highly confidential meeting. It seems he knows quite a lot about Terry and the late unmourned MP.
