Dan Mannix,(1911-1997) the author, spent several months with the legendary hunter J.A. Hunter in Kenya assisting him to complete the blockbusters including Hunter by Hunter and African Bush Adventures. Here Mannix explores various types of hunting methods employed by various hunters in many parts of the world, including hunting ducks with Boomerangs, cougars with bow & arrow, Wild cats with blowguns etc. Many of these methods are still widely used by natives in Australia, Canada, South America and various African countries where wild game is still present. This book was written nearly six decades ago and Mannix have witnessed several of these type of hunting without actually using firearms. Mannix and his wife Julie themselves used these alternate ways of hunting and fishing.
