1st US Edition - Stated Third Impression. Light brown boards with red cloth spine. DJ rubbed with shelf edge wear and sunning at spine, price-clipped. SIGNED by John Le Carre on a bookplate affixed to front end page (signature only). Also SIGNED by actress CLAIRE BLOOM on a bookplate on front end page (Bloom played 'Elizabeth Gold' in Martin Ritt film version of novel--name changed to Nan Perry in film). Attached to half-title page is a card SIGNED by MARTIN RITT (the 1965 film's Director). . Also includes a small color photo attached to second half-title page SIGNED by actor ROBERT HARDY (who played 'Dick Carlton'). Also laid-in is a bookplate SIGNED by actor GEORGE MILELL (who played German Checkpoint Guard); and another bookplate SIGNED by ANTHONY HARVEY (edited the film version). (Bonus: Comes with a unsigned 1st US Printing hardcover copy of Le carre's "Our Kind of Trailor"). Also laid-in is the original New York Times obituary for Le Carre.
